그렇게 못할 수도   건강한 다리로 침대에서 일어났다 그렇게 못할 수도 있었다 시리얼과 달콤한 우유와 흠 없이 잘 익은 복숭아를 먹었다 그렇게 못할 수도 있었다 개를 데리고 언덕 위 자작나무 숲으로 갔다 아침 내내 내가 좋아하는 일을 하고 오후에는 사랑하는 이와 함께 누웠다 그렇게 못할 수도 있었다 우리는 은촛대가 놓인 식탁에서 함께 저녁을 먹었다 그렇게 못할 수도 있었다 벽에 그림이 걸린 방에서 잠을 자고 오늘 같은 내일을 기약했다 그러나 나는 안다, 어느 날인가는 그렇게 못하게 되리라는 걸   Otherwise   I got out of bed on  two strong legs. It might have been otherwise. I ate cereal, sweet milk, ripe, flawless peach. It might have been otherwise.   I took the dog uphill to the birch wood. All morning I did the work I love. At noon I lay down with my mate. It might have been otherwise.   We ate dinner together at a table with silver candlesticks. It might have been otherwise.   I slept in a bed in a room with paintings on  the walls, and planned another day just like this day.
